The Tractors Malaysia-Caterpillar dealership is a partnership that goes back more than 80 years. In 1929, Sime Darby, through the Sarawak Trading Company, was appointed the Caterpillar dealer for Sarawak, Malaysia. In those early days, the company brought in equipment mainly to provide support and service in oil exploration activities. The development of the logging industry, however, saw Caterpillar equipment being used for opening trails, log skidding, loading and stacking, and power generation in the timber camps.
Tractors Malaysia used this novel and unique way to promote its Caterpillar heavy equipment
In Malaysia and Brunei, Tractors Malaysia is currently the leading distributor of premium heavy equipment and the exclusive distributor of Caterpillar products and services.
The dealership offers a comprehensive choice to meet customers’ specific needs – whether it is for the purchase new machines, engines or used equipment, rental through its chain of Cat Rental Stores, after-sales/service support or equipment financing.
